Why Plant edition doesn't fit client work
Plant edition is for the team that runs the firewalls. It costs less per plant because it leaves out what you deliver to clients.

Hiring a consultant for the audit?
They bring their own Engagement or Professional license, under their letterhead. Engagement is for work on a client's plant, so a plant team can't buy one for its own plants, and Plant edition can't be used to deliver services to others.
Common questions
- What counts as an engagement?
- One client, for 90 days, covering up to 5 plants. Extra plants are $400 each.
- Do Engagements count toward Professional?
- Yes. Every Engagement your company bought in the last 90 days comes off your first Professional seat, up to $5,000.
- Is there a trial?
- Yes, 30 days. Consultants try Professional; plant teams try Plant edition. One trial per company; trial deliverables are marked TRIAL.Yes, 30 days of Professional, which covers everything an Engagement does. - Does licensing need an internet connection?
- No. A paid plan comes as a signed license file you copy onto the jump host. SegAudit checks the signature offline and never calls home.
- How do renewals work?
- In the app, save your usage report from the License page, read it, and upload it at renew. It holds counts only (seats in use, active days, files saved), never your evidence. Renewals need it: the renewal is priced from it at list price, with no back-billing and no call. If no file may leave your network, type its totals in instead.
- What happens when a license expires?
- You get a 30-day grace period with a banner, then Community features. You can always open and export a saved audit, so nothing is ever locked away.
- Can our security team review the source?
- Yes. Any paid customer can review the source under NDA, for security review and due diligence.
- Which currencies and taxes?
- Prices are in US dollars, before any sales tax or VAT that applies where you buy.
- Can we pay by purchase order and invoice?
- Yes. Build a numbered quote for the Plant edition, print it for your procurement team, and send your purchase order.
- How do Plant edition volume prices work?
- They are graduated, like tax bands: the first 9 plants are $2,000 each, plants 10 to 24 are $1,500 each, and plants 25 and up are $1,000 each. The minimum is 2 plants, so 2 plants cost $4,000 a year.
